Unpopular opinion though it may be, there are few musicals that offer a reliably engaging story, a thoroughly excellent score, and an overall joy in the way that Seussical does.  To this day, our high school Seussical remains one of my favorite performing experiences of all time.

In what feltlike a surprising turn of events to sophomore me, I was cast as The Cat in the Hat – the show’s mischievous yet charming narrator and guide.  I had a blast waltzing around the stage in the red-and-white hat, jumping in and out of the various Seussian characters the Cat portrays throughout the show.

As a matter of reflection, I think that Seussical marks the point in my artistic trajectory where I actually started to believe that acting was something I really could (and wanted) to do.
