In my opinion, there’s really no better pastime than playing music. In the best of times and in the worst of times, the piano has been, for me, a place to go for clarity, for relaxation, and for enjoyment.
I am, of course, about as far from a “maestro” as you can get when it comes to technical proficiency; my piano, guitar, and vocal skills were forged through the likes of Coldplay, U2, and musical theatre – not Bach, Mozart, and the more “traditional” canon. Nevertheless, what limited musical proficiencies I have managed to grasp have always served me well at cabarets, at open mics, and on the stage. From time to time, I even dabble in songwriting, recording, and mixing.
Below are a few selections from my musical journey thus far, whether on the stage or in the studio. If you’re ever in need of a tenor vocalist, a pop pianist, or a guitar strummer, you know what to do: fill out the contact form below!
A hodge-podge collection of various vocal demos. In order of appearance: my performance of "For Forever" from Dear Evan Hansen at the Columbia Musical Theatre Society Senior Showcase; "Goodbye" from Catch Me If You Can" from the same digital event; "All the Stars Can Bring," an original composition demo for a school project; and "Rescue Me" by my friend and high school classmate, 4Point.
In September 2021, I had the pleasure to sing "For Forever" from Dear Evan Hansen in the Comeback Cabaret at Don't Tell Mama, presented by The Drama Company NYC.
For the finale of the virtual 2021 CMTS senior showcase, I helped record, mix, and perform a rendition of “Goodbye” from Catch Me If You Can.
At the end of my senior year of high school, I helped my dear friend 4Point (as he is known musically) record his first single, “Rescue Me,” and lent my voice to the chorus and backup vocals. Above is the version off his first Album, Gardens.
Another 4Point song off Gardens, I helped write the keyboard line for this tune.
