What happens when a pandemic locks a bunch of theatre students inside at home inside for a few months? Nothing good, but a fair bit of comedy.
Murder Manor, a parodic murder-mystery audio drama written and directed by my fellow Columbia/Barnard classmates Hannah Rubenstein and Alex Haddad, was rehearsed and recorded in the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 as a way for us all to take our minds off, well, everything. More than a little inspired by Knives Out, the hour-long audio play follows a detective as he interviews a colorful cast of characters to determine who murdered the eccentric Mr. Kellington.
More a source of entertainment for the participants than anything else, Murder Manor was never widely released, but the full production can be heard below.
